Super Junior adds additional show for Singapore gig

SINGAPORE: Korean boy band Super Junior will be performing on not one, but two nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, as part of their Super Junior World Tour Super Show 4 concert tour.

Concert organiser Running Into The Sun (RITS) announced Tuesday that Super Junior will be playing on February 18 at 6pm and hold an early concert on February 19 at 4pm.

“It is for us a great way to start 2012 – Super Show 4 will now run for two nights in Singapore, which means double the number of tickets available for fans.

“Based on the numerous requests we’ve received asking for an additional night, we trust this will be good news for fans,” said RITS’ Creative Director Beatrice Chia-Richmond.

Tickets to the group’s Singapore stop, the first South East Asian stop of their concert tour, will go on sale from January 14 for OCBC cardholders, with public sales commencing on January 15 at noon.

Sales are capped at four tickets per transaction to prevent bulk buying.

Super Junior’s upcoming concert here will be a three-hour affair that features a massive stage which promises to let everyone at the venue get closer to the boys.

It will also feature a giant fountain, pyrotechnics and what organisers described as “special water effects”.

The boy band is one of the most popular K-pop acts in Asia, consistently performing to sell out crowds across the region.

Tickets to their upcoming concerts in Taiwan were snapped up shortly after they were released, with a third of the tickets – earmarked for advance sales – sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale.

The rest of the tickets were sold out within just 17 minutes after public sales commenced the next day, making Super Junior’s Super Show 4 the fastest-selling concert series ever in Taiwan.

Super Junior to hold ‘Super Show 4′ at Tokyo Dome with 100,000 fans

Super Junior will be taking the stage at the famous Tokyo Dome.

On May 12th and 13th, Super Junior will be making their ‘Super Show 4‘ world tour stop in Japan at the Tokyo Dome.

Last December, Super Junior rallied 80,000 audience members through their two concerts which was held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. Super Junior is planning to meet with 100,000 fans at their Tokyo Dome concerts.

Considering that Super Junior has not had any special promotions in Japan, being able to book a concert at the 100,000 capacity Tokyo Dome is a rather astounding accomplishment.

Super Junior last stood on the Tokyo Dome stage at the “SM TOWN Live Concert” last September. At that point, Super Junior made it a goal to take on the Tokyo Dome for their own solo concert. They have achieved their goal in a mere 4 months.

Meanwhile, Super Junior will be making stops in Taiwan (February 2-5) and Singapore (February 18 & 19) for their ‘Super Show 4′ world tour.

Super Junior kicked off their show with ”Superman“, whose lyrics (“Our scale is the best”) reflected Super Show 4′s ambition to show the world that Super Junior were more than just idols. Sorry, there won’t be an SS4 Manila :(

Sorry Pinoy ELFs, looks like Super Junior won’t be coming to Manila again for another Super Show this year.

This was confirmed today by Ms. Happee Sy of PULP Live Productions, the concert organizers for the past 2 super shows in Manila:

Unfortunately, Philippines wont be part of SS4. It is because of reasons that are beyond our control. It was their sides decision, which we have to respect, coz they know whats best for their artists/show. Thanks guys for understanding and for always supporting the boys. Lets just hope and pray for the next possibilities. HK didnt have ss3, we are still lucky to have had squeezed in 2 & 3..
